Socioecological Primary Prevention Model

As we (The White Feather Project) aspire to create a society in which peaceful coexistence can exist, it is essential for our trainings to adhere to model what can be developed via the sociological model of primary prevention; developed by the National Center for Disease Control.  One must understand that oppression based upon power and control utilizes tools that are inherently reflected in violent relationships.  Whether the violent tendencies are latent or overt the results are the same.  It produces trauma.  Throughout our trainings we will discuss the cause (history), the tools of oppression, and the results (discuss the traumatic impact). This will provide the fundamental capacity for healing to occur and through training trainers this approach can begin the process of healing communities.  As people of faith that is our duty.  As members of communities that is our heart felt desire.
