White Feather Historical & Educational Project

White Feather Historical and Educational Project (WFHEP) was created to enhance the awareness of the Charlottesville community and surrounding localities pertaining to how and why as a community we are still suffering from anti-oppression in our past and present traumatic experiences (including but not limited to the death of Heather Heyer and injuries to others when the Alt Right marched through our town and through eminent domain which took Vinegar Hill, Pearl Street and Gospel Hill property from the Black community). This is being accomplished by providing awareness through education and historical insight.

As a component of WFHEP the White Feather Project was created to provide Anti-Oppression Capacity Building Skills through the BAMA Works Grant. This grant enhanced our ability to train the Charlottesville community, organizations, agencies, and non profits in the work of anti-oppression focusing on developing peaceful coexistence among their staff, clientele, and the community at large .

Our mission is to educate and build healthy and connected communities allowing unity and promoting growth among ALL.
